The Eternal Christ

Jess reads for us this mornings readingwhich is taken from Johns gospel. Colins is teaching us again this week, Many people today, deny the existence of God and even go so far as to deny the existence of intelligent design. This is a far cry from what we read in the Bible. In the Prologue to his Gospel, John establishes the bedrock of Christian truth concerning Jesus Christ. He covers every aspect: his divinity and his humanity; his pre-existence and his incarnation; his all-surpassing glory and his simplicity. He goes back beyond creation and portrays “the Word” as co-equal with the Father. It is through him that everything exists and through him that we receive light. Though Satan sought to extinguish the light, he could not. Something definitive and absolute happened in time and space.
