Rachel reads from Matthew Ch 6 ver 1 - 18 and Quentin continues our studies in the Book of Matthew and expounds what Jesus tells us about prayer in the sermon of the mount, some of the how , what, where, and when. Prayer is private and public, for some extremely personal or extremely public, as of old when scripture and prayer was shouted from the street corners of London, Portsmouth, Manchester, Hull, Glasgow and Edinburgh by such men like George Whitfield and John Wesley and many others or quietly in our own homes and church's. Prayer is of great importance in our relationship with God. Not only does it give instant access to God in times of need or trouble but in humble thanks and gratitude for everyday provision. Prayer is one of the Greatest gifts a christian is given or even an non-christian because as Jesus says to Jew or Gentile, God is "Our Father who art in Heaven" Prayer is open Access to God.
