Crying over strewn stones

This week Eleana reads from Neh Ch 1 ver 1 - 11. Colin statrs his new series on Nehemiah. Nehemiah was devastated when the terrible state of Jerusalem was made real to him. He prayed that God would do something about it – and he did! He sent Nehemiah! Nehemiah identified with the people in their distress. He confessed that the mess they were in was due to their disobedience to God’s laws and that had to be addressed. God gave him a vision of what needed to be done and Nehemiah committed himself to the work. Despite the opposition and difficulties, he persevered. What about us?
